Midi Quest multi-instrument editor/librarian gives you the tools to get the most from your Waldorf Blofeld Keyboard. Midi Quest includes all of the standard features you would expect to find in a Blofeld Keyboard Editor and Librarian along with unique capabilities found. Bigglesworth, a Linux librarian and editor for the Blofeld was created by MaurizioB Hello, in the latest weeks I decided to develop an editor and library manager for the Blofeld on Linux, since I wasn't very satisfied with the alternatives.

There's plenty of software around for the wonderful Blofeld synthesizer; from fancy and good looking, to simpler and essential, free or not, you can find what better suits your needs.Maybe.

That 'maybe' was the main reason that pushed me to develop Bigglesworth. I wasn't really satisfied with the alternatives.

So, what are the main features of Bigglesworth?

Patch Base has the best Waldorf Blofeld editor and librarian available for Mac and iPad. Edit any parameter, organize patches, create random patches, and more.

Voice Editor

Edit any of the Blofeld's voice parameters in real-time. All of the oscillators, filters, envelopes, and LFOs are there on one screen for fast editing. Both Effects units are fully supported with all of their different parameters. The 16-patch Mod Matrix enables deep modulation possiblities for your sounds. And, the 16-step Arpeggiator is fully editable as well with its various step modes, variable note lengths and rhythms, and accents and glides.

Multi Editor

The Blofeld can play up to 16 different parts at the same time, and now it's easy to manage all of them with Patch Base's Multi Editor. Quickly change the sounds used, mixing levels, panning, MIDI channels and more.

Also, you can directly edit all 16 sounds loaded in Multi Mode. Patch Base has 16 separate voice editors, 1 for each part, allowing you to easily switch between parts when you need to make small tweaks (or big changes!) to any of the sounds in a Multi.

Bank Editor

The Blofeld has 8 internal patch banks, for a total of over 1000 sounds that can be stored on the synth. Patch Base's Bank Editor enables you to add new sounds, rearrange the locations of sounds, and backup and load banks of 128 sounds at a time. The Blofeld's 128 Multis can also be managed directly in Patch Base.

Patch Librarian

Save your patches and banks as files on your iPad or Mac: Patch Base saves files as sysex that can be sent to your synth by Patch Base or any general-purpose sysex transfer app.
Organize your sounds: Create folders to organize your patches and banks.
iCloud integration: Optionally use iCloud to make your patch files accessible on any iCloud-connected device, and to automatically sync files between Patch Base on Mac and iPad.
Import sysex files: Import existing patch and bank sysex files to Patch Base. On Mac, simply drop your files into the Patch Base browser. On iPad, easily import using iCloud or the Files app.
